State senator Mark Spreitzer of Wisconsin participated and spoke April 5, 2025 at the “Hands Off” rally, Beloit location. This writer could not find any other senator in the country who spoke at a rally near them, however several Democrat congressman did participate in other states. Spreitzer currently serves as state senator in Wisconsin’s 15th district and is of the Democrat party.
Hands Off was organized by over 150 progressive activist groups but mainly by Indivisible Project. Indivisible Project is a nonprofit and it has produced a Guide on helping people resist Trump administration policies. George Soros is a large contributor to Indivisible Project through his Open Society foundation which has given at least $9.4 million since 2017. Indivisible Project was a primary organizer of the Hands Off protests that produced over 1,000 events nationwide on April 5. The Open Society foundation funds went towards Indivisible’s operational costs such as staff, materials and signs.
The Revolutionary Communist Party or Revcom, took part in Hands Off rallies in some locations. Its message aligns with the anti-Trump rhetoric by saying “Trump must go”. Revcom’s founder, Bob Avakian, has written communist material titled the Revolution where he states that the USA needs a “whole different Constitution.” Avakian calls himself a revolutionary leader and has developed a new communism. Revcom’s goal is to overthrow capitalism through a revolution and establish a socialist state. It also has a history of violence where arrests were involved. Revcom called for a “mass armed revolution” at one time.
State senator Spreitzer should be questioned for participating in a rally where the Revolutionary communist party also participated. Revcom calls for a revolution and a new constitution. Spreitzer’s participation in this rally brings up many questions. Someone should also ask whether George Soros and his Open Society foundation is directing the activities and decisions of Indivisible Project, Hands Off and its speakers, including senator Spreitzer. Does Soros’ long web of financial influence reach the decision-makers of our Senate and Congress? These are important questions that should be asked prior to the next Hands Off rally and further protests. The April 5 rally was for the most part peaceful and no arrests were reported. Historically, however, political rallies become violent by it’s second or third gathering as it’s followers grow impatient and more resilient.
It has been reported that some protestors were bussed to their rally location and provided signs. This is similar to rallies that occurred during Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign where busloads of supporters were bussed in from far locations and southern states. A participant in the Hands Off rally was Third Act, a nonprofit that focuses on mobilizing Americans over 60 years of age. They provided transportation and bussing of elderly to attend the protest. They offered $200 reimbursements for expenses such as gas and possibly bus-related costs. This does not mean it paid the elderly participants to protest. They did however provide a lot necessary support to get them there.
It is the hope of this writer that future events continue to be peaceful. I would ask everyone to become informed as to the activities of our current presidential administration and do not let emotional rallies gas-light you into believing false narratives. Manos Fuera fue organizado por más de 150 grupos activistas progresistas, principalmente por el Proyecto Indivisible. Alguien también debería preguntarse si George Soros y su fundación Open Society dirigen las actividades y decisiones de Indivisible Project, Hands Off y sus oradores, incluido el senador Spreitzer. ¿Acaso la extensa red de influencia financiera de Soros llega a los responsables de la toma de decisiones de nuestro Senado y Congreso?
